The Anticipated Ding(s)

I finally got denied at HBS. I will get a similar result from Stanford tomorrow and do not want to write a separate post for that :D.

For nearly a month now, I've been thinking about all things "Wharton". So naturally,
I feel nothing now...

@juggler
You are kinda cribbing. And saying that you dont feel anything isnt the best response either - u r trying to avoid the fact that you fought your hardest and yet lost. Dont tell me you didnt feel a thing when you got that ding. It sure hurts - but accepting it and letting it in makes you only stronger.

BTW - got rejected myself. But am not going around claiming that I don t feel anything at all. Nonchalance is but a facade

Hi there! Congratulations on the 3 admits. I am applying to almost the same schools as you with the exception of Chicago GSB for Fall 2008, and was wondering whether you can give me some idea about the R1 admit policy. Sounds like you have decided to go with Wharton. How many weeks do you get from Kellogg and GSB to make a decision and do you have to put down a deposit with them? Also, if one is accepted at Wharton and waiting for HBS, will Wharton wait for 3 weeks (Dec 21 to Jan 17) before a firm committment must be made?

Thanks!

"Nonchalance is but a facade"

LOL! The point is my depression at being rejected passed long ago, when the Indian interview hub for HBS happened and I didn't get an interview call then. So this was anticipated. I was done with the moping when it came.

You are chastising me for not feeling something I felt long ago:-)

@debanjali

Don't worry, no school expects you to make the decision in 2-3 weeks. The acceptance deadline is the same for R1 and R2 applicants (at least for Wharton) which is at the end of April. You will have a chance to attend the admit welcome events in each of your schools before you pick one :-)

You should be truly proud of your achievement - Wharton is as difficult to get into the other two.

My Saga has just started and - we will see when the results pour in!

Good luck at Wharton - and have fun!

I'm w/ you... no reason to be upset when you are still in at one (or several) of the top b-schools in the world!
